For the past 25 years the Pine River Watershed Initiative Network (PRWIN) has partnered with local landowners and funders to implement in ground projects to improve the habitat and water quality in our priority Pine River watershed on the eastern shores of Lake Huron.

PRWIN Fall Shorline Restoration Project
You may register for up to 3 Junipers to plant on your shoreline. Drop off will be in October and the exact date will be communicated to those registered. Deadline to register is August 14th.
2026 Potted Tree Ash Replacement Program
This year, our program will offer one of the following species: red maple, sugar maple, bur oak and red oak.
FARM & FIELD PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
Is wind erosion costing you valuable topsoil on your farm?
We’re excited to launch our new Farm and Field Windbreak Partnership Program in the Pine River Watershed. Eligible farmers may receive 100% funding for windbreaks, including the cost of trees and planting.
